GENERAL
CBS league fees will be due to me BEFORE the start of the auction, ($11.50 was last year's share), NO EXCEPTIONS.[/color]
Each team starts with $260 cap. No team, though, will have this amount after keepers are set, and all teams will have different running totals. Please keep tabs on your exact amount in the appropriate link on here insanecommish.proboards101.com/index.cgi?board=salarywithrosters as well as on paper.
***Allot $1 per open space left in your salary cap ($150 cap space left-13 spots=$137 available above minimum).
***Must fill roster with salary cap. No exceptions.
Must fill all roster spots with specific position designations.
DRAFT
Each team must have two active nominations on the board at a time. When one of your nominations clears, you are expected to post a new nomination in a timely manner. This means BEFORE you enter bids on any active players!
Each player starts with a $1 bid, and has a 12 hour window of inactivity before an auction closes. If your player isn't bid on in 12 hours, you win him for $1. The message will have a time stamp on it to verify when this occurs. Any time a subsequent bid is placed on a player, the clock resets a full 12 hours before the auction can be completed.
Bid increments are in whole dollar amounts, but can jump by $1-$5 on any given bid. Many people last year didn't like how fast a guy like Albert Poo-holes went from $1 to $50, so this slows it down a touch. I for one love the back and forth bidding, so I don't want to eliminate it all together, for there's strategy and "heat of the moment" elements that are great!
You can have active high bids on as many players as you wish, as long as:
***you have two active nominations on the board
***you still have $1 left per empty spot on your roster minimum
***you still have roster spots remaining to bid on, including position eligibility (can't bid on pitchers if all your pitching/bench spots are filled)
***you bid within the 12 hour window of eligibility on a player
STRICT ADHERENCE WILL BE DONE FOR THESE DRAFTING ISSUES!
Any of us that are on the board can call out someone that has done something in error (overbids, not making timely nominations, etc). I or one of my grunts will be able to retract a bid made for someone illegally (even in error), and the "clock" is set back to the previous legal bid. Feel free to use the PM button at the top to notify someone of their error, PM or email me, or use the message board. Unlike last year, this commissioner cannot monitor the boards 24-7, so we all need to police ourselves and be double checking our opponents for this to work!
